The letter Tav is the last of the Hebrew letters and the beginning of the returning light, where blessings are brought into the world through one’s good deeds. The month of Tishrei is spelled Tav, Shin, Reish, the last three letters of the Alef-Bet in reverse order to indicate the judgment period of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, followed by the letter Yud, to show the blessings that follow the judgment.

One who's name begins with the letter Tav is of modest character, and keeps his eye out from the beginning to the end of every issue. An investigator of sorts, they are determined to know everything, especially the hidden. They have habit of becoming stuck and immobile. In a developing personality, they merit self-control and the utmost inner-strength. (Shemot Bnei Adam)
